I think the coin parking meters were installed in Park Slope in 2007 or 2008.  Now they're being replaced in 2011 by these machines.  Being a cyclist, I'm sad to see the old ones go 'cause they're the best place to lock a bike. The PS Civic Council says they're adding bike racks to make up for the loss, but I dont think they're installing enough.

Recycle that

Is it time to shake that busted Compaq Presario?  Is your Palm Pilot not running like it used to? Dispose of them in an environmentally friendly way courtesy of Park Slope Civic Council.  They are hosting a collection point for all unwanted electronic gizmos.  Drop 'em off and get 5 free karma points.
